A classic nautical decorative painting with strong movement and detail in the rigging. Signature: "William Bransom," lower right, in white.

Subject: a tall ship cuts through rolling turquoise waves under a full spread of sail, with a small red pennant flying from the topmast. Seagulls wheel around the ship against a pale, cloud-streaked sky.
