A beautifully preserved early 20th-century hand-colored bridal portrait presented in its original carved wood frame and mat.
The photograph depicts a smiling bride wearing her mother’s wedding gown, commemorated by the inscription beneath the image:
“Her Mother’s Wedding Gown 1906–1931.”
The portrait is delicately hand tinted, with softly colored cheeks and a bouquet of dusty pink roses that stand out against the monochromatic image. The bride’s elegant lace gown, gloves, and period hairstyle beautifully capture the refined aesthetic of the early 1930s while honoring a family heirloom dating back to 1906.
Presented behind glass with its original textured mat and substantial carved wood frame featuring a warm bronze-toned finish.
An exceptional decorative piece for traditional, cottage, romantic, farmhouse, or vintage-inspired interiors.

The original mat displays scattered foxing, light discoloration, and a few faint tan/brown spots from age, all typical and expected for a paper mat of this period. Original carved wood frame shows areas of finish loss and edge wear that contribute to its authentic vintage character. Original paper backing is present with age-related wear and tears but continues to protect the artwork. Please, check all pictures. less
