Embodying a rugged yet refined 1980s cargo aesthetic reminiscent of timeless heirloom designs, this piece is built strictly using traditional mortise-and-tenon panel framing and industrial-strength waterproof wood adhesive—completely free of visible modern metal screws or mechanical fasteners.
The planter features thick, substantial corner stiles pinned with double exposed wooden dowel accents at the joint intersections, adding a subtle nod to historical medieval craftsmanship. The vertical panel alignment showcases a stunning organic tapestry of contrasting timber tones, seamlessly moving from light, honeyed sapwood hues to rich, deep amber heartwood grains. Its deep, uninhibited internal cavity is perfectly optimized for direct planting, dropping in standard flower containers, or utilizing a fabric liner. Supported by structural lower cross-beams that create an airy, floating undercarriage, this elevated planter box brings natural luxury and artisan precision to any high-end patio, sunroom, or entryway landscape.
