This German art wall rug was designed by interior architect Ewald Kröner for his label Schloss Hackhausen located close to Düsseldorf in Solingen, Germany. This high-quality modernist piece was handmade during the 1970s and is signed on its backside and numbered with 'L J 2'. It shows how Ewald Kröner's abstract graphics were implemented as vivid, relief-like tapestry featuring great plasticity and warm colors by using his new and self-developed complex weaving techniques. Kröner's design was inspired by the art of Herbert Oehm, Max Bill, Ruppert Geiger, Victor Vasarely and Marc Chagall. This piece is in very good all original condition. This piece has an attribution mark,
