By age … Read more Cyndra Bradford grew up in Big Sur where she learned the art of print making from her father. By age 18, Cyndra was represented by galleries across the country. Her style, painterly and figurative, lends itself well to her subject matter of horses and landscapes. Her work quickly found its way into collections across the United States. At twenty-four, she became a member of the Carmel Art Association as a printmaker, later returning in her thirties as a painter, as her practice fully evolved into oils.

Cyndra Bradford's work celebrates the vitality of landscape and movement through a bold, intuitive use of oil paint and palette knife. Known for her vibrant color harmonies, she layers and blends pigment to evoke the shifting light, atmosphere, and rugged beauty of the natural world. Her plein air paintings of Big Sur capture the drama of wind, weather, and changing conditions with immediacy and energy, while her expressive equestrian works convey power, grace, and motion with striking emotional presence.
