Painted in the early 2020"s, sometime preceding the close of the storied Arlington Racetrack, George pays homage to the "Arlington Million" which had delighted horse racing fans since its beginnings in 1927. (At the same time, he revels in his own personal obsession with all things equine.
Strong color, deliberate movement, quiet focus: a solid portrait of pre-race intensity.
Painted in the post-impressionistic tradition this mid-size work measures 24" x 30" and 29" x 35" with frame.
