While most were painted in flat colors, this scarcer variation features a rich, lustrous faux-bronze patina, allowing it to blend seamlessly with high-end library or den decor. The distinct two-piece construction with a tight, hand-filed centerline seam is a hallmark of authentic, period iron casting. The low center of gravity and heavy iron core make it perfectly suited to hold open heavy wooden doors.
