Beautiful and vibrant landscape painting in oil on canvas of the Village de Ollioules la Provence, France. The small town is located between the Mediterranean and the hills. The joyful, idyllic pastoral landscape painting is masterfully executed in the Fauvism style. The 20th century art movement, Fauvism, is defined by intense, non-naturalistic color, bold brushwork, simplified form and flattened perspective. Fauvist paintings feature energetic, thick and spontaneous brushstrokes. The painting is signed “Everett” and dated 1970. Its condition is very good. It is framed in a period simple gold frame.
