Carved from solid wood, the work plays on the contrasts between natural wood, black, and gray. Geometric volumes rise from a circular base carved with a gouge, intentionally leaving the tool marks visible. This expressive style, combined with an architectural construction, gives the sculpture a presence that is both primal and contemporary.
