The deep green glaze pools in the horizontal ribbing of the rounded body and catches the light like polished malachite against the ruby silk. Everything about the piece reads 1930s French: the jewel-tone palette, the stylized banded profile, the confident plainness of the form. Green glazes of this depth are closely tied to the great Lorraine faience houses of the period, and the lamp sits comfortably in that tradition, though it carries no maker's mark. It keeps its original bayonet-base (B22) fitting and has been newly rewired for US use with a matching fabric-wrapped cord; we'll swap the plug for your country at no charge, and the listed height includes the shade.
