… Read more This elegant pair of ceramic table lamps was designed by Einar Johansen for Søholm Keramik, Bornholm, Denmark, during the 1960s.

Known as model 1051, the design combines a refined matte black conical neck with a sculptural fluted base decorated with a beautifully flowing blue glaze. The subtle contrast between the matte stoneware and the glossy glaze is characteristic of Johansen's most successful lighting designs.

Both lamps retain their original signatures underneath, including Johansen's distinctive EJ monogram and the model number.

The lamps have been rewired with new textile-covered electrical cords and are fitted with new linen lampshades.

One lamp displays a slightly lighter blue glaze than the other, a natural result of Søholm's traditional glazing process and a feature often appreciated by collectors of studio ceramics.

Presented in excellent vintage condition without chips, cracks or repairs.

The plugs can be replaced by US-plugs for free. This piece has an attribution mark,
