Original oil on wood panel by Jan Gordon Brown titled "New Shoes for Ollie," completed in 2014.
The painting depicts an Irish Draught horse standing quietly while being shod inside a stable. Warm interior light contrasts with the cool tones of the horse, drawing attention to its calm expression and the everyday ritual of farrier work. The reverse identifies the horse as Manus Fortis Touch Down, a registered Irish Draught, and records the owners and farm where the painting was commissioned.
The work is painted on a rigid wood panel rather than canvas and is signed lower left. The artist's original business card remains attached to the reverse.
A distinctive original equestrian painting that would appeal to horse owners, trainers, breeders, or collectors of contemporary animal art.
