From Ricardo Ramirez Rivero's new Legacy Series, "White Noise" is a diptych in two connecting panels. Comprised of paper clay/paper mache on wood board with acrylic paint and chukum, wash, the work is monumental in scale and both sculptural and textural in realization. Chukum is an organic, lime-based stucco made from hydrated lime and a tannin-rich resin extracted from the bark of the native Yucatan Havardia Albicans tree. Chukum has, in recent years, been a rediscovered medium from the ancient Maya. It is VOC free, water-resistant and delivers a smooth matte finish.
Panels to be sold as a diptych. The panels cannot be sold separately.
Each panel measures:
39.37" wide
74.75" high
1.575" deep
