Magnificent and large antique salad bowl (vegetable bowl/tureen) circa 1909, in Oscar Schaller porcelain.
Generously proportioned bowl resting on a flared foot.
Neoclassical decoration consisting of a blue frieze of stylized motifs punctuated by a scattering of small, graduated flowers.
Hand-applied gold thread embellishes the upper rim, the foot, and the elegant scroll handles.
Finely molded side handles add refinement to the whole.
Thick and heavy porcelain.
This piece can naturally be restored to its original function on an elegant table but also makes a beautiful decorative piece in a charming kitchen or antique cabinet.
It can be used as a large salad bowl, tureen, fruit bowl, centerpiece, and more.
In very good condition. Minor signs of wear around the rim.
