It is made of solid oak with beautiful carved accents with newer yellow paint accented with flowers and birds. The slant front desk panel drops down to provide a writing surface and reveals an array of cubbies and drawers for storage. Below the desk panel is a long drawer above two smaller drawers. Beautifully curved cabriole legs.

The 19th century desk is in very good antique condition. The desk is sturdy and fully functional, although the legs are delicate and slender. The desk hinges and drawers function well. The newer yellow paint is in good condition with some paint losses that give the desk an age and distressed feel. Please see photos for more details about the condition of the desk.

The desk measures 45.5” tall, 31.5” wide, and 16.5” deep. The drop down desk is lower than a standard desk height with a 28.5” table height and 28” knee clearance. The desk was used with a low rush seat stool with a 16” seat height. See less
