In very good … Read more Extremely rare antique display cabinet (c. 1910) containing a three-dimensional anatomical relief wax model of the head. In very good condition, old mouth-blown glass, ornate clasp, and fitted with a hanging loop. Note the wood joints as well. Produced in Germany by Lehrmittelwerke Berlinische Verlagsanstalt. This wax model depicts the interior of the head (facies interna), focusing on the nerves, arteries, and muscles of the head. Enormously detailed and in excellent condition. Accompanying paper manual (usually missing), written in two languages (French and Latin). The list includes a numbered index to identify the various markings on the model. Collector's item.
