Constructed in teak veneer over a solid carcass, this Form 5 wall unit shows the recessed edge detailing and flush … Read more Constructed in teak veneer over a solid carcass, this Form 5 wall unit shows the recessed edge detailing and flush door construction typical of the range, with a plinth base and rectilinear proportions consistent with G-Plan's later 1960s output.

The unit combines four separate storage types within a single vertical composition: a pair of hinged cupboard doors at the top, an open shelving bay with a single adjustable shelf, a fall-front cabinet supported on brass stays with an internal shelf above and below, and a lower cupboard fitted with sliding doors. The fall-front section drops to reveal a flat teak work surface, suited to use as a bar, writing station, or additional display space.

Produced by G-Plan as part of the Form 5 range designed by R. Bennett, and retaining the manufacturer's label to the interior of the upper cupboard. This piece has an attribution mark,
