Set of two famous Eclisse table lamps, a masterpiece of Italian Space Age design created by Vico Magistretti in 1965 for the Artemide brand. Design features include a unique mechanism, with diffusers composed of overlapping hemispheres. By rotating the internal cap, the bulb can be gradually covered, visually recreating the phases of an astronomical eclipse and adjusting the light intensity. Made of gray painted metal, it can also be used as a wall sconce thanks to a special hole located under the base. This iconic modernist set won the prestigious Compasso d'Oro award in 1967 and is now exhibited in the permanent collections of the world's most important museums, including the MoMA in New York.
