The … Read more A beautifully crafted rectangular country English tufted leather "Brierly" writer's chair storage ottoman on casters designed by Ralph Lauren. The large late 20th century ottoman measures more than four feet wide and features rich, aged cognac saddle leather upholstery. Crafted in an English Chesterfield-style having button tufting across the generously padded top and continuing down the sides. The leather is accented by a continuous row of antiqued brass tack nailhead trim running along the lower apron. The ottoman opens to reveal a roomy interior lined in a French style ticking stripe patterned fabric in cream and red tones. The piece is supported by four elegantly turned dark walnut legs with original brass swivel casters. The leather has a desirable aged patina on the finish as seen in photos. Crafted in an traditional English Country style with Chesterfield influence, the piece is functional as a ottoman, foot stool, accent seating, coffee table, or end of a bed. All button tufting is intact. Original Ralph Lauren maker's tag is present on bottom. From an estate in the Napa Valley, CA.
