The sculptural chairs feature a broad and dramatic tablet form backrest made up of a thick polished brass sheet curving inward at each end in a classical klismos form. The back is supported by two slender upright posts, each smoothly curving and transitioning downwards into the seat. The seats are crafted with an open woven leather seat, hand-woven from flat cognac tan leather laces in a geometric diagonal basketweave pattern. The seat is supported by four gracefully tapering and sweeping saber-form legs arching forwards and backwards respectively. Corner brackets join the legs to the seat rail with a crisp, angled geometry. The warm two-tone composition of the saddle-tan leather and bright polished brass create a modern elegant and luxurious result. Crafted in a Neoclassical form, the chairs are well-suited for a variety of interiors as dining chairs, side chairs, or dramatic accent chairs. Chairs are signed Sylvan on the seat interior.
