Modern Textured Table Lamp – Neutral Coastal Style

This piece was acquired by myself recently from a high end consignment store in a
prestigious coastal town in Florida This lamp is made of alabaster and weighs an approximate 35-40 lbs. When the lamp is turned off the alabaster is solid white. When the dimmer switch is on , the alabaster shade can give a smoky appearance in areas ,which is what makes any alabaster piece unique and give a one of a kind appearance.

I recently acquired this lamp at an elite consignment shop in Santa Rosa beach Florida ( commonly referred to as “30 A “) It works perfectly. It truly is a beautiful piece. My guess , strictly a guess ,is that someone purchased this lamp for a “coastal” decor , which the lamp is. However, when on the brighter mode of the dimmer switch the lampshade (also alabaster) , not only shows the veins , but can give a Smokey appearance in places. From what I understand this is characteristic of alabaster , as it is transparent in the light. Also from what I understand, this is what makes the piece a unique and one of a kind. When the light is not on , the alabaster lamp is white without any veins or Smokey appearance. I currently have this piece displayed on a sideboard in my home.
