Handwoven in the Anatolia region in the late 1800s.

At the heart of the composition is a striking crimson red central medallion, set against a softly aged beige field that allows the design to breathe and glow with understated sophistication. The contrast between the saturated medallion and the neutral ground creates a refined visual rhythm. Framing the field is a geometric border inspired by Caucasian weaving traditions, reflecting the historical exchange of motifs between Anatolia and the Caucasus. This border adds graphic structure and subtle color accents while enhancing the rug’s strong village character. Woven from hand-spun wool and natural vegetable dyes, this rug exhibits the gentle abrash and tonal variation that collectors prize in authentic 19th-century rugs.
