The rug features a luminous saffron yellow field, a prized and uncommon ground color that enhances its decorative presence. At its center lies a refined octagonal medallion in soft teal, blue-green, and cream tones, echoing the geometric precision characteristic of classical Mamluk carpets. Surrounding the medallion is a harmonious arrangement of smaller geometric motifs, creating depth and rhythm throughout the composition.

A contrasting aqua blue main border frames the field, adding structure and balance while highlighting the brilliance of the interior palette. Subtle accents in terracotta, ivory, and teal further enrich the design, all rendered in natural dyes that have developed a beautiful patina over time.
