Beautiful Vintage Turkish Oushak rug, meticulously hand-knotted in Anatolia during the second quarter of the 1900s. This stunning rug features a compelling medallion design set against a dynamic background of deep dark blue and rich red. The most special feature of this piece is its beautifully designed ivory color central medallion, which serves as a luminous focal point. This medallion is adorned with colorful designs scattered throughout, adding intricate detail and visual interest.
The corners of the field are marked by complementary red-colored spandrels, harmonizing with the main field's palette. The entire composition is elegantly framed by a sophisticated yellow and gray border, a deliberate choice that brings a modern color scheme into this vintage hand-knotted rug. Oushak rugs are renowned for their grand scale, soft wool, and distinctive patterns, often featuring large-scale medallions and earthy palettes.
