The piece depicts his famous 1953 design, The Sacred Bridge at Nikkō in winter.

Purchased in Japan in the 1970s alongside other prints, it is housed in an authentic, matching traditional Japanese export frame with a wooden-slat tension backing and hand-tied twine.

• Artistic Significance: Hasui is globally renowned for his snowscapes. This piece showcases brilliant, rich shades of Prussian blue and vibrant vermilion red, contrasting beautifully with the textured white snow.
