The bespoke chairs feature an English captains chair, elbow chair, or smokers chair inspired design carved from solid beech. The frames having a broad and gently rounded barrel-back form having a shapely bowed seat with flat arm rests. The chairs were custom ordered and upholstered in rich and intentionally distressed leather hides on the backrest and seat. The back and sides of the chairs are left open, giving them an open and airy silhouette. The leather upholstery is accented by a patinated brass tack nailhead trim running along the seat, arms, and back. The chair is supported by straight and tapered front legs and gently sabered back legs ending in patinated brass sabots. The chairs are executed in a classic Ralph Lauren Country English equestrian style, having an authentic aged patina on the finish, creating a handsome and clubby set suitable for a variety of spaces. The frames are sturdy and solid having excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a handsome aging on the leather hides. The thick padded seats are very comfortable. Original Ralph Lauren order plaques are present underneath the chairs. Arm height is 26". Sold as a set of six. From an estate in the Napa Valley, CA.
