A sculptural wrought iron plant stand attributed to Samuel Yellin, showing the forge vocabulary and hand-worked detailing of his early studio period. The tripod base, scroll intersections, bud terminals, and twisted central shaft all reflect the organic, architectural forms Yellin explored in his domestic and garden commissions, particularly his early work for Bok Tower Gardens.
The proportions and expressive forging align closely with objects produced in the Yellin workshop between 1915 and 1925, when he developed a distinctive botanical iron language. The surface retains its original oxidized patina, with honest wear consistent with age and outdoor use. Attribution is supported by both the workmanship and the Pennsylvania auction house where it was acquired.
A rare example of early American Arts & Crafts ironwork with strong sculptural presence — equally compelling indoors or in a garden setting.
