Description
Authentic late 19th-century antique wooden blanket chest, dated 1877, featuring its original hand-painted date, decorative border, and monogram on the lid. This handsome chest has wonderful aged patina, rope side handles with decorative mounts, and beautiful hand-crafted dovetail construction typical of the period.
The interior is clean and spacious, making it perfect for use as a blanket chest, coffee table, entryway storage, or decorative statement piece in a traditional, farmhouse, or loft interior.
The chest shows honest wear consistent with nearly 150 years of age, adding to its character and authenticity. The original surface has not been refinished.
