Beautifully executed in richly figured teak, this two-piece modular cabinet showcases the clean architectural lines and meticulous attention to detail that have made Danish furniture among the most sought-after in the world. Condition:
This Skovby cabinet presents beautifully and is in very good vintage condition. The teak retains a rich, warm finish with exceptional color and striking grain throughout. The glass display doors, adjustable glass shelves, interior lighting, and sliding lower storage doors all function as intended.
There are light surface scratches and minor signs of age-appropriate wear consistent with careful use over the years, primarily on the top surface of the lower cabinet where the upper hutch rests, along with a few small edge nicks. These imperfections are cosmetic in nature and do not detract from the cabinet's outstanding presentation.
Please note: The interior lighting has been updated to accommodate U.S. electrical service. Two U.S. bulb socket adapters are included; however, one additional socket adapter will be needed for all three display lights to operate simultaneously. The adapters are inexpensive and readily available online.
Overall, this is an exceptionally well-preserved example that has been meticulously cared for and displays beautifully.

Please note: The lower sideboard section shows a slight center bow/droop from the weight of the upper display cabinet resting on it over many years. Because of this, the lower sliding doors do not sit perfectly flush or align completely at the outer ends when closed. The doors remain usable and the cabinet presents beautifully overall, but this age-related structural settling is visible upon close inspection and is shown in the photos. See less
