The contrast between the warm brass surface and the dark architectural base gives the piece a strong, low and refined presence.

The brass surface reveals its abstract etched pattern gradually depending on the angle and the light. Rather than being immediately graphic, the decoration appears almost atmospheric, shifting between reflection, patina and engraved linework as one moves around the table. This gives the piece a quiet but highly distinctive character.

The tabletop is signed.

Christian Heckscher is known for his distinctive brass furniture, often combining polished or patinated metal surfaces with abstract etched compositions. This coffee table is a fine example of his expressive approach to material, surface and reflection.

Original vintage condition with visible patina, fine surface scratches, small marks and signs of oxidation to the brass surface.
