Rendered on an "8 x 8" canvas, measuring 11" x 11" when including ornate Rococo-inspired frame, this work was inspired by a day spent walking through the blossoming grounds of the Chicago Botanic gardens. George fell in love with the inimitable colors and textures found in Nature at her finest.

This piece is very much in the tradition of expressive modern florals with distinct influences from post-impressionism and fauvism. A departure from more his more characteristic palettes, George uses the "hottest" blend of bright reds and oranges to best replicate the bloom. The result is a versatile and contemporary piece of art.
