Glass globe by Columbus Oestergaard with semi-gimballed mounting.
Hand-laminated duo map image on crystal glass sphere.
When it is not illuminated, the political map of the 1960s is visible.
If the globe is illuminated, the topographical map image emerges. Mountain ranges, plains, jungles and oceanic mountain ranges can be CLEARLY Recognized.
The bracket is made of brass eloxed aluminum. Graded in a full circle on one side.
Mounted on a wooden box with drawer. The box is veneered in cherrywood. The drawer has a glass front with brass handle. Containing an Atlas in large format - 42cm x 30cm, All which is dated 1964th
The map image is browned gemäß to its age and the protective varnish has a fine craquelure. There are minimal imperfections in the map. This piece has an attribution mark,
