Whether flat or tilted, this is a stunning tilt-top tea table made from gorgeous cherry. The style is either Chippendale or Queen Anne and dates to the 18th century. It features a birdcage support mechanism that allows the table to be tiled and rotated. Impressive against the wall, it's also large enough to seat four. There is also a small trim around the edge of the table.
This piece has been restored. Deft clear varnish was used to seal and protect the wood while maintaining a natural, satin finish.
This table we 37.25" round and 25" from foot to foot. When flat, the table is 29" high from floor to the tabletop and 49.5" high when tilted up.
