Zeki Müren was known for his unique voice and flamboyant costumes. Müren also designed the furniture for the scenes where he performed. He was, in fact, one of the successful students of the State Academy of Fine Arts at the time. The motifs he drew in the late 1960s were used to create a collection of carpets in Isparta. Even though most of these rugs have been destroyed or worn, you can still find pieces in excellent condition like ours in the bazaar. Shapeless elements, but simultaneously in harmony, break away from a dark blue background, creating a magnetic and mysterious effect. The wool is still thick and shiny. Müren's rugs are timeless rugs that tell of a taste and sensitivity that has no equal. In the history of the oriental carpet, no one had ever dared so much before Müren. Measures: 245 x 152 cm. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
