This exceptional Art Deco wardrobe from the 1930s combines elegant proportions, warm cherry veneer, and high-quality craftsmanship into a piece of furniture with timeless appeal. Expertly restored and refurbished while preserving its historical substance, it combines authentic character with high everyday usability.
The striking three-door front is dominated by a large oval glass panel. Behind it hangs a hand-crocheted curtain in a deep midnight blue, lending the wardrobe a special depth and individuality. Original fittings, clean geometric lines, and the vibrant grain of the cherry veneer reflect the elegant design language of Art Deco.
The interior impresses with its well-thought-out layout. On the left are four height-adjustable shelves. The right side offers a generous clothes rail, a hat shelf, and a large original mirror on the inside of the door. This makes the wardrobe equally suitable as a functional closet and as a prestigious piece of furniture.
As part of the restoration, the cabinet was carefully cleaned, stabilized, and treated with beeswax. The natural patina and minor signs of age and wear were intentionally preserved, underscoring its authenticity. A previous opening in the back panel was traditionally sealed with wood shavings and glue, then finished with an inlaid violet blossom as a handcrafted detail.
with its striking presence, this cabinet is equally suited to stylish living spaces, boutique hotels, design studios, or high-end commercial interiors. It combines historical elegance with practical storage and will become the focal point of any room.
