This exceptional antique wall mirror features a heavy brass frame beautifully decorated in relief with classic Renaissance-revival motifs. The border is heavily embellished with clusters of harvested fruit (including grapes, pears, and apples), foliage, and charming putti/cherub figures. The frame edge is completed with a classic twisted rope border.
Most notably, the bottom of the frame prominently displays the Royal Coat of Arms of the Kingdom of France. The heraldic crest features a crowned shield enclosing three stylized fleurs-de-lis (the historic symbol of French royalty), making this a highly desirable piece for collectors of continental European antiques.
