Mounted on a beautifully aged leather strap with solid brass end rings, this decorative harness piece evokes the timeless aesthetic of an English country house.

The medallions include traditional equestrian and sporting motifs including a fox hunting “Tally-Ho” scene, a brewery barrel, a saddled horse, a horse within an ornamental rosette, and an elegant heraldic cross. Together they create the layered, collected appearance so often associated with Ralph Lauren interiors.

Originally designed as decorative horse harness ornaments, horse brasses became beloved decorative objects displayed in English pubs, libraries, stables and country homes. Today they remain favorites among designers creating English sporting, hunting lodge and European country interiors.
