The … Read more This exceptional sideboard from the 1960s is a high-quality, custom-made piece crafted by a cabinetmaker, not a mass-produced item.

The frame is made of beech and spruce and finished with a brown-red stained walnut veneer.

The combination of warm wood tones, black-yellow-gold stained drawer fronts, round brass handles, and black tapered legs gives the piece its characteristic mid-century look.

On the right are four spacious drawers. Next to them, behind a sliding door, is a compartment with a height-adjustable shelf that can be positioned in eight different locations. Behind the two sliding doors on the left is a generous storage space with another height-adjustable shelf that can be set at three different heights. This allows the sideboard to be flexibly adapted to various storage needs.

Thanks to its timeless design and ample storage space, this piece is ideal as a sideboard, lowboard, or stylish chest of drawers in the living room, dining room, or study.

Condition:

The piece of furniture is sturdy, fully functional, and undamaged. Signs of age-related wear are present and emphasize its authentic vintage character. Of note are four neatly filled former mortise holes in the veneer on the left side of the top panel, as well as a slight discoloration (ink stain) inside one drawer. Details can be seen in the photos.

Refurbishment:

The piece has been thoroughly cleaned. The surfaces have been refinished and, where necessary, professionally repainted, so the sideboard is in excellent condition and ready for immediate use. See less
