A Danish teak Model 49 dining chair by Erik Buch, dating to the 1960s. The chair has a sculpted teak frame with rounded side supports, tapered legs, and a softly curved upholstered back and seat. The black upholstery gives the piece a clean, graphic contrast against the warm teak.
The design is comfortable and very well proportioned, with the subtle shaping and thoughtful joinery associated with Erik Buch’s work. It has a refined Scandinavian modern look while still feeling practical for everyday use.
A great Danish modern dining or desk chair with strong lines, warm teak, and a classic mid-century profile.
