“In Conversation” by Sara Ward
Original acrylic on gallery-wrapped canvas.
24” × 48”
Two abstracted figures “face” each other across a wide, atmospheric ground. One is rendered in warm ochre, the other dissolves into layers of pale white and blue-grey. Bold black contour lines define form against the loose, textured surface. The horizontal format gives the space between the figures room to breathe. Can be displayed horizontally or vertically. Striking in person and commanding on a wall. Would a suit a living room, a bedroom, or any space or any room that needs a fresh, minimal, but bold statement.
Sara Ward is known for intuitive painting and confident mark-making. This work has a muted palette with a strong compositional presence.
