* “Often mistakenly referred to as Hans Gleissner, actually Hermann Gleissner, also Gleißner, German landscape, marine, and still life painter (1879 Berlin or Hamburg to after 1935 Berlin or Hamburg), at times a lecturer at the Berlin Academy, exhibited at the Great Berlin Art Exhibition from 1921 to 1926, worked in Berlin-Steglitz and Hamburg, painting trips to Stralsund, Rügen, and Hiddensee, among other places.
