Each high-back chair having a pair of 'Barley Twist' columns' surmounted with a turned finials. The backs have panels with finely carved and reticulated borders inset with a caned panel. All the caning is tight and in remarkably excellent condition and will support the most substantial sitter.

The seats are upholstered in a high quality floral tapestry fabric which is in excellent condition, the seats can be easily recovered as they are drop in seats. If the buyer wishes Bloomsbury's professional workshops can recover the seats to match the buyer's color scheme before they ship, we have a wide variety of fabric in stock, or the buyer can supply their own.
The chairs have baluster turned legs joined with a carved and reticulated stretcher. The chairs are very sturdy, robust and comfortable, they have a warm, rich patina and have just lovingly received a coat of wax polish in Bloomsbury's workshops.
