famed … Read more A vintage famed surgical lamp cart from poland, reworked into a two-tier side table with handcrafted dark oak tops.

famed was a respected polish manufacturer of surgical and medical equipment, known for industrial-grade engineering and durability.

this piece began as the rolling base of a hospital surgical lamp, with the lamp head originally mounted on heavy pipes and arms above it. (check last photo for an example of what it looked like).

the base has been converted into a functional side, end or coffee table while preserving its industrial character.

the original steel base retains its white and beige factory finish, its aged textures, and its front panel switches, which remain in place for their original appearance and can be reattached if desired. Two dark-stained oak panels have been handcrafted as the table tops, the upper of which rotates a full 360 degrees.

the interior storage compartment makes the piece suitable for records, books or bottles, and the four industrial castors allow it to roll smoothly.
this is a single, unique piece. As an original vintage object it carries signs of wear consistent with its working history.
