Striking pair of original 11” square abstract paintings on copper by Ken Rausch. Known for working with copper as his canvas, Rausch uses heat, acid etching, specialized paints and grinding tools to create richly textured surfaces with depth, movement and iridescent color. A multi-layered resin top coat gives the pieces a glass-like finish, allowing the copper and painted surfaces to shift beautifully as the light changes.

This pair includes one darker composition with black, ochre, olive, copper and cream tones, and one warmer red composition with deep crimson, bronze, rust and white accents. They work beautifully stacked vertically, hung side by side, or placed as part of a gallery wall.

Ken Rausch is a Greater Cincinnati artist and graduate of the Art Academy of Cincinnati. His metal works are held in private and corporate collections throughout the United States, Canada and Panama.
