Bring the warmth of a glowing mountain sunset into your home with this original oil painting by Charles P. Finance (1909 to 1998). Painted on a Grumbacher canvas panel and presented in its original wood frame, this panoramic landscape features rugged mountain peaks illuminated by golden evening light beneath a vivid blue sky.
The painting is signed in the lower right corner and retains the original Grumbacher canvas panel backing. Also included is the original artist biography attached to the reverse, adding wonderful provenance and historical interest.
Charles P. Finance was a Swiss born artist who later lived and worked in Canada and the United States. Although widely known for his distinguished culinary career, he also became an accomplished painter of landscapes and seascapes in both watercolor and oil.
