This example features a rich deep terracotta-red field adorned with an intricate allover Herati (Mahi) pattern, centered by a striking ivory and navy medallion. The highly detailed field is framed by a bold cobalt-blue border decorated with stylized rosettes, palmettes, and angular vine motifs, creating a vibrant contrast that is characteristic of the finest Bidjar weavings.

Woven from high-grade hand-spun wool on a sturdy cotton foundation, the rug displays a compact, tightly packed pile with exceptional clarity of design and crisp drawing. The harmonious palette of deep terracotta red, rich indigo blue, ivory, soft green, and touches of light blue reflects the use of high-quality natural dyes that have mellowed beautifully with age.
