A piece of furniture with extraordinary stage presence and geometric rigor. This monumental table lamp, produced in Italy in the 1970s, perfectly embodies the rationalist and brutalist aesthetics applied to interior design of the era.
The base is distinguished by a complex sculptural structure composed of vertical, square-section elements in chromed metal. The metal profiles are articulated in a perspective play of solids and voids that lends dynamism and architectural momentum to the entire figure.
Crowning the base is a large cylindrical lampshade characterized by wide satin-finish metal bands enclosing a diffuser with a striking marbled filament texture. When the lamp is turned on, the texture of the shade creates a warm and vibrant atmosphere, beautifully contrasting with the cool, rigorous reflections of the chrome body.
The generous dimensions (88 x 43 cm) make it ideal as a focal point on a large sideboard, an entryway console, or an executive desk.
