'First Position, Attitude’ was conceived after Richard MacDonald explored the excellence in performance through pieces such as Nureyev and The Doves. These pieces sparked an inquiry into the early stages of achieving such excellence. Thus, the sculpture was born. The confidence one finds in Nureyev’s leaps can also be found in the attitude of this young boy’s stature. This statue exudes sophistication and elegance, its every elegant sculptors dream, the base as mentioned is marble topped and it rotates which allows you to observe the wonder from every angle. Condition wise we have deep cleaned, hand condition waxed and hand polished it from top to bottom, it is absolutely perfect from every angle
