Constructed from beautifully figured mahogany with attractive flame mahogany door panels and drawer fronts, the piece retains a rich warm colour and excellent patina throughout.
The sideboard features a gently bowed front incorporating two central drawers flanked by a cupboard to either side. Opening the doors reveals generous storage space while the drawers provide practical accommodation for cutlery, linens and dining accessories. The top is finished with a subtle crossbanded border which enhances the refined appearance of the piece.
Raised on elegant tapering square legs terminating in spade feet, this sideboard demonstrates the restrained neoclassical influence that was so popular during the Edwardian period. Originally designed for use in dining rooms to store silverware, serving pieces and table linens, it remains just as practical today as a dining room sideboard, hallway cabinet or living room storage piece.

Condition
