A charming early ceramic ashtray designed by Aldo Londi and handcrafted in Italy during the 1950s. Finished in a warm neutral glaze with a hand-painted blue and ochre botanical motif, this understated piece reflects the organic forms and artisanal craftsmanship that define Londi’s early work.
The simple, functional form is complemented by its hand-painted decoration and incised Italy mark on the underside. A wonderful addition to collections of early Bitossi, Italian ceramics, and mid century modern design.
